Alternating Fiber Photometry Recording and Optogenetic Stimulation on FP3001 System

Hi everyone,

I am currently working with the FP3001 fiber photometry system and am looking for a way to interleave/alternate our photometry recording with optogenetic stimulation to minimize optical crosstalk and artifact contamination.

While reviewing the documentation, I noticed that the FP3002 system explicitly supports alternating fiber photometry recording and optogenetic stimulation. However, our lab is currently equipped with the FP3001 model.

I would like to ask if there is a known workaround, specific hardware configuration (e.g., utilizing external TTL triggering via the digital I/O ports), or a software-level solution in Bonsai software to achieve a similar alternating paradigm on the FP3001?

Any advice, scripts, or hardware routing tips would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Chuyue
